So, I mentioned in my Marbella fangirl post that I couldn’t have been any more surprised by how absolutely stunning Marbella is and how the perception of Marbella which I had - i.e TOWIE abroad/wedges, fake eyelashes, body chains and lads, lads, lads by the pool - couldn’t have been any further from the truth. And this post is pretty much further “yo boo, Marbs is actually really stunning and instagrammable and classy and not at all what you think it is” evidence as we take a little stroll through the Old Town, stopping along the way to take Instagram snaps and OOTD’s because we’re bloggers and that’s just who we are and #sorrynotsorry.
I mean, sorry to the people that we murder in our heads for stopping right in front of my bloody shot and the people that we give bitch faces to because they give us evils and think we’re vain AF but you know, generally not sorry.
Now, this whole outfit is entirely Matalan which
screams sponsored/ad/spon/[insert your own choice of equally annoying and slightly cringeworthy disclosure hashtag here] but it actually isn’t.
I know, full time blogger posts a one brand outfit and hasn’t been paid to do so, shock horror… This blouse was very kindly sent to me after they got in touch to see if there was anything I liked and I was pretty much like “err yeah, that gypsy, flowy, babe’in blouse that makes me feel like a summer goddess that belongs on a beach in Brazil please?” but the rest, the rest was from last year when I had my annual “I need new summer comfortable basics that look really chic and effortless but will also easily aid and abet 10 almond magnums and a frappuccino with extra whipped cream and caramel sauce” shopping spree where I
always end up at Matalan.
Matalan fangirling aside, I really really loved this day. It actually started off overcast so Hannah and I took ourselves off for a stroll to the old town before heading back to chill in the room for an hour (laptop time in bed with some 90’s RnB classics, winning in life) followed by lunch on the beach and sunbathing with a dollop of life chats on the side. It was one of those “this is actually work but how the f**k is this actually work?” days and those are always the ones I love the most.
I’d love to know if you’ve been to Marbella, the Old Town or whether you’d just really love to go? It’s genuinely a place that had never crossed my mind and now I already immediately want to return.
As always, thanks so much for reading.
xx
