AN EYEFUL OF THE EIFFEL

So, it's been about a week since my last post. Part of me - in fact, most of me - has been panicking and worrying about this. I think as a full time blogger you kind of just have this mindset that you need to be posting regular content and you're pretty much a murderer if you get less than 3 posts per week out.

And then part of me - the small part that actually won over this time- thinks, screw it. Nobody will die if I don't post for a week, the world won't end if I don't post for a week, I won't lose my entire readership if I don't post for a week (at least I frickin hope I won't) and I'm so glad that this tiny, rational, completely normal part of my brain won over because I'm pretty sure the break was exactly what I needed.

During my hiatus - LOL at me making this as dramatic as possible - I actually did a number of things include extremely stress over my work load, and escape to Paris. And lucky for you, my escape to paris is what I've decided to post about today.
Shirt - Forever 21 / Trousers - Missguided / Shoes - Next / Sunglasses - Rayban Rounds

So, after many Pinterest/Instagram/Parisian blogger stalking sessions, I decided that I needed to visit Paris. After all, it has been 15years since my previous visit (in which I went to Disneyland with the Brownies and cried the entire time because I missed my Mum) and first on my list of things to do, apart from consume as many calories as physically possible, was head to some of Paris' most famous haunts, and of course, the Eiffel Tower was at the top of the list.

This actually wasn't my OOTD from Day 1, that post was part of a pretty exciting collaboration which will be coming at the end of the month - yes I've just done one of those extremely annoying "I can't tell you about it yet" and yes I want to punch myself in the face for it - but I do absolutely love each item all the same. Plus, let's be totally honest, nobody's really paying much attention to me when that babe is behind me are they?
My first - probably not so - notable mention goes to this babe of a shirt. It's a new purchase of mine from Forever 21 and I'm pretty obsessed with not only the extremely soft and comfortable material, but also the oversized, almost a-line structure. The pockets make it super practical - oh god, I'm considering practicality, I'm pretty much a pensioner now - as well as pretty unique and I know I'll be getting lots of wear out of this beaut!
Now, these shoes are something to shout about. I saw them on the Next website and knew that I immediately needed them in my life. Yes, they have a very Chanel-esque vibe to them and yes, they are a pointed, low heeled sling back that I never ever thought I'd actually like but I am full blown obsessed with these pretties. At £32, I just think they're so incredibly well made and good value considering that they are a shoe I'll be wearing all summer (and year) long. So thanks Next, you little babe, for bringing these absolute stunners into my life!
Finally, the Rayban rounds in pink and copper. I'm actually slightly ashamed by how long I've had these and how long it's taken me to feature them considering that I pretty much wear them on a daily basis. Stunning, cool, unique and sophisticated - i.e everything I'm not [insert "I wish I was just being modest but I'm not" emoji here] - these never fail to attract (the right kind of) attention and always receive a compliment. A pair of sunglasses that on paper, probably sound slightly horrendous but in reality, always just work.

So that brings me to the end of my first Paris style post. I have to say, I had the most amazing time in Paris, and I feel ever so slightly guilty that I'd never bothered to visit again sooner considering how convenient it is to get to. One thing's for sure, it definitely won't be 15 years until the next visit.

I'd love to know your thoughts on this look, any item you like in particular? I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

As always, thanks so much for reading. Stay tuned for more Paris posts over the next week!

xx
