CLARINS MULTI-ACTIVE DAY AND NIGHT CREAM

When I was younger, I always wanted to be the person that has used so and so face cream for 10 years, swears by it, wouldn't ever stray etc. etc. (there's something about that idea that just feels a little bit chic and sophisticated, right?) but I've come to the conclusion that after years of being a total skincare-whore, my best skincare routine is one that consists of switching up numerous products, hence why I'm constantly mentioning different products. But last month, I attended the most incredible blogging event ever for the launch of a brand new range. So, this range came into my life - LOL at the fact that I can make a skincare discovery sound like a 10 year marriage - and has not gone anywhere. No switching up - bar the time when I hadn't slept all night and needed all the oil and radiance boosting potions I could find - no putting it at the back of my cupboards and forgetting about it for 2 years, a straight up "I'm really looking forward to putting on my moisturiser today" kinda love.*

*I feel like you're judging me for looking forward to using moisturiser and I can tell you that I ain't one bit sorry.

Fangirling aside, said product that I've now rambled for far too long about is the Clarins Multi-Active range. A day and night cream that dreams are made of, i.e I'm going to rave a hell of a lot, i.e let's just get on with the review yeah? Okay great, let's do it...
Clarins Multi-Active Day cream
So, the Multi-active range in general is aimed at us busy ladies that are burning the candles at both ends. Late nights and early (coffee fueled) mornings really take a toll on our skin and the multi-active range is designed to protect against that. With an abundance of plant extracts including myrothamnus which is an african plant that has the ability to survive incredibly dry conditions and Teasel extract which helps to revitalise and protect tired, stressed skin... this Day cream is going to be your crazy hectic schedule self's best friend.

So now that I've copied and pasted got the technical jargon over [insert cry laughter emoji here at me trying to sound intelligent] here's what I really think. This day cream is absolutely stunning. Not only does it seriously moisturise and hydrate the skin (without leaving it oily at all), but it also makes for the perfect makeup base as it absorbs quickly into a satin/smooth finish. For me, this has become my everyday day cream of choice and my (very nourished and hydrated skin) is extremely happy about it.
Clarins Multi-Active Night cream
When I heard that the night cream helps to target signs of lack of sleep, I was all over this like a blogger on avocado toast. As a long term insomniac - that pretty much looks like death at all times - I am always on the hunt for products that may help me look more awake than I actually feel. Now, I can't say that I 100% feel like I look less tired after using the night cream, but it does make my skin look and feel so plump, hydrated and beautifully moisturised. It is easily one of my favourite night creams and one that hasn't left my bedside table since I received it, I just can't say in all honesty that it's because of the "reducing signs of no sleep" qualities. Radiance and a huge hit of hydration? Absolutely yes. But making me look like I've had 5 extra hours sleep? I think only Harry Potter a miracle could do that.

I have to say that I do kinda hate saying that as it definitely sounds like I'm adding a downer to the product - negative Nancy's out in full swing - when in actual fact, it is by far one of my most favourite skincare items, just trying to give you all the knowledge I have (which isn't a lot, but you know, let's roll with it).

Shop the beautiful products

So that brings my review of the Clarins Multi-Active range to an end. I have to say that right from the very beginning, I absolutely adored the sound of the range. Targeted at millennials with stresses and tiredness and busy lives and basically everything in the world that I have! It just sounded like this product was made for me. And I have to say, in the least cliche way, I kinda feel like it was. Two absolutely stunning creams that my skin absolutely adores as much as I do, and I can't see that changing any time soon.

Plus, it does have such a sentimental place in my heart after the most fabulous launch - you know that one that I don't shut the hell up about, that involved a babe'in bunch of bloggers, a night's stay at The Mondrian, dinner at Sketch, Yoga at The Shard and lunch at Bourne and Hollingsworth? #BlogEventGoals - but either way, it's the most beautiful range which I would 100% repurchase when it's all used up.

I'd love to know if you've tried out the range yet? What skincare are you loving at the moment?

As always, thanks so much for reading!

xx
