INTO THE WOODS

So, on one (bloody freezing) cold afternoon, I headed into the countryside, fiance in tow, to find some beautiful woods to film in and it's safe to say that I came away with so much more than just Blog and Youtube content. You see, there's something slightly magical about the woods. Slightly dangerous and scary as f*ck? Yep, both of those things. But completely ethereal, calming, relaxing and otherworldly to the point that you (almost) forget that social media and anything but nature even exists? Yeah, yeah that too...

So amongst all the photographs, racking focus on all the trees and all the "really glamorous" outfit changes [insert sarcastic/cry laughter emoji's here] I thoroughly enjoyed taking a moment to myself to finally switch off and (... are you ready for the most cringe-worthy, hippie, tree hugger phrase in existence?) be at one with myself.

Yep, I hate myself as much as you do for saying that sentence...

Failed attempts at sounding philosophical aside, here is one of the looks from our shoot.
So alongside some of my absolute winter staples - i.e the items that I really hope you love because they'll be on my blog for the next however many months without fail #OutfitRepeaterAndProud - in my suede trench and faux fur stole, this beautiful Petite Bateau roll neck has made it's way into my daily wardrobe and it won't be leaving any time soon. Beautifully soft and so comfortable to wear, it's the perfect layering item. I love the cream shade for an extra little somethin somethin than white and it brings a real warmth to an outfit. Extremely chic but practical!
Moving on to another new item which is really special, and that is the absolutely stunning Gold and Black with a marsala - fancy way of saying burgundy - strap watch from Cluse. The Cluse La Boheme Gold Black/Marsala just has the most simple, classic, beautiful face but is made so modern with the mixture of colours. The leather strap is almost a worn leather which gives it such a gorgeous vintage-esque look and is so buttery soft and comfortable to wear. What I love about these watches - apart from the fact that they look so chic and cool - is that they also have an interchangeable strap meaning that you can switch it up and create a totally different look without the need to buy a whole new watch. I've already eyed a beautiful dove grey and rose gold mesh strap for when the burgundy loving wears off (although let's be honest, that's never going to happen).

In case you couldn't tell by the umpteen photographs and serious fangirling, I am a huge fan of the Cluse La Boheme. And the Petit Bateau roll neck. And getting lost in the woods with just Dan and our constant chatter of all things life (and how we already need be back in NYC/how we really fancied an Indian takeaway #TheSlothsNextDoor).

I really hope you enjoyed coming along for this little wander with us. I'd love to know what your favourite watch brand is at the moment? Or which fashion item you're loving most?

As always, thanks so much for reading.

xx
