BODEN & BROGUES

Boden knit, silver brogues
If we could just take a moment to appreciate the fact that my title is pretty much as #BasicBitch as it gets, that would be fabulous. You see, sometimes I'm in the mood for jazzy titles that are really cool and quirky and mostly come from a lyric of a mod indie song - that I definitely google because otherwise it'd be a Take That/One Direction lyric and I don't think that quite has the same effect - and sometimes all inspiration fails me and it literally ends up doing exactly what it says on the tin.

Today is one of those does what it says on the tin kinda days...

But basic tendencies aside, today's outfit is actually a firm favourite of late. Consisting of a pair of silver brogues that I totally didn't choose because I saw Olivia Palermo wearing an indentical pair [insert guilty/"Ok maybe I did but she's queen of all things chic so that's OK, right?" emoji here] and the most beautifully well made roll neck that I have worn to death since receiving a few weeks back and plan to do so for the foreseeable future/until it's so hot in London that all the beer belly'd guys will be walking around with no tops on only vest tops and denim cut offs are necessary.

This huge furry - faux fur I might add - coat is another favourite of mine. It came from none other than Tesco (I know, pretty incredible right?) and it gets compliments literally everywhere I go. It's actually sold out right now *all the cry face emoji's* so I can't link it, but of course, there will alternatives linked below. If you have guys in your life that like a bit of "banter", you will 100% be teased for looking like a skunk/Sulley from Monsters Inc but you know what? This ridiculously cosy, warm bad boy is so worth it!
Said roll neck that I never want to take off (but I promise I do, being called "Smelly Ellie" by the unoriginal boys in Primary school that had no other insults in their arsenal than the age old rhyming taunts seems to have subconsciously made me a clean freak). That aside - #QueenOfDigression - the roll neck is from Boden, a store relatively new to me and one that I have been utterly obsessed with over the passed few months. Everything I picked up from Boden is just so incredibly well made, so chic and is generally just an amazing, classic basic that will last - and work - forever and this beautiful navy jumper is a prime example. The only downside is that I now absolutely, most definitely need it in every colour *writes letter to Santa (and swiftly leaves it lying around the fiance).*
Finally, those silver brogues. Ever since picking up these gorgeous silver boots- funnily enough, also from Clarks - my obsession with all things silver officially began. I was very kindly sent these from Cloggs - after spending actual hours pouring over each page of amazingness and struggling to settle for one pair - and just like my Boden bae roll neck, have not taken off since I received them. Forever the Primark addict, I immediately noticed how incredibly well made and sturdy they are and it's safe to say that these beauties definitely won't be falling apart mid Christmas shopping session (can you tell I'm still bitter about the time that my brand new Pimark pumps fell to pieces after one mammoth shopping day?). The silver colour just makes them so chic, and they definitely stand out as a key piece but as the same time work so well as a neutral. I've worn them with so many outfit options and they look stunning paired with absolutely anything. A total winner in my eyes. I mean, if they're good enough for Olivia...

And that brings me to the end of this little 'Hey guys, here's the jumper of my dreams and silver brogues, am I Olivia Palermo now?" ramble. I actually really loved putting this together, it's such a simple post but consists of some of my absolute favourite fashion items at the moment. I guess it's almost a mini fashion favourites in the form of an OOTD. Either way, I hope you liked it as much as I did putting it together :)

As always, thanks so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post!
