As a blogger, one of the first things that crossed my mind when my trip to New York was confirmed - apart from "oh my god, gluten free pancakes for breakfast every day" and "Give me all the Brandy Melville and Sephora please and thank you!" was the content that I could get for my blog in the city of my dreams.
One of the first locations for said content that jumped into my head, was Central park. Not only an iconic place in New York but an absolutely breathtaking place that makes you feel like you're on a film set - well, to be totally honest, all of NYC makes me feel like I'm in a film - and therefore, the perfect backdrop for my prancing around in front of the camera like a tit my outfit photo's.
I absolutely adore the floral dress in today's post, a
£10 bargain from H&M that is ridiculously soft and comfortable and just gives that whole sixties vibe which I am
all about.
... and let's be serious, I could be wearing a bin bag and Central park would still make this post look pretty #NYCFanGirlForevz.
Dress - H&M (similar here) / Boots - Linzi / Bracelet - Gemporia
And there she is in all her glory (... and when I say "she", I mean beautiful Central park - and the lake in particular - not the classic tourist loser prancing in the leaves) ;)
I sit here writing the first of my many - probably far too many, but hey, it's my favourite place in the world so I'm forgiven right? Right... - New York posts in my bedroom, with the rain pouring down outside and generally just feeling all the holiday blues. I don't want this to be a "I love New York and I miss it and here's why" ramble, because I'll probably do a whole post on that if I'm being totally honest. But what I will say is that this trip was everything I wanted - and needed - it to be and more. For the first time in months I actually had some time off for myself. I explored, I was awestruck, I laughed until I cried... and then cried when I had to leave. I basically had the time of my life, and I'm so so grateful for that because it couldn't have come at a better time.
*Logs on to Sky Scanner to book the next trip... and then looks at the cost and cries into cup of tea*.
As always, thanks so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post!
xx
