ALL IN THE ACCESSORIES

Ellie adams The Elle next door
Whilst I absolutely love fashion and playing around with different trends - I mean, whilst sticking within my beige, vanilla, boring monochrome/neutral comfort zone, of course - I've recently found myself preferring to stick with a more simple outfit, choosing to priorities slightly more statement accessories to jazz the outfit up.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that I went to sleep in a time machine and ended up an 80 year old woman, using phrases like "jazz up"? [insert granny/"did you really just say that" evil face emoji here].

So, after starting my christmas shopping last week at Sunglass hut and picking up a gift for my other half, and then one for me (because that's just how the world works, right?) I thought I'd feature this little outfit on here showcasing said gift of mine - which I have become utterly obsessed with - amongst my other favourite accessories "jazzing up" my boring as f**k outfits right now.

Sound like fun? Oh, sounds like the most fun you could possibly think of having, you say? Well that is just great...

I've featured these Ted and Muffy boots and worn them to death - many times before but they are easily my favourite "need this outfit to look chic and not like a bin bag" items and have been heavily relied on ever since I received them.

The Acne Lookalike Coat
I was always the biggest fan of that Acne Velocite for the longest time but let's be real guys, unless I want to live on beans on (gluten free) toast for the next few months... that ain't happening! But then I discovered this bloody incredible dupe from H&M nearly 2 years ago (p.s can we take a moment to appreciate how different I looked 2 years ago? Look at that hair!!! [insert "can't look" monkey emoji here]. But yes, I found it, I fell in love with it, and I've loved it ever since. A beautiful, warm and cozy coat that always looks really fashionable (I personally think).

Radley Golden Square Clutch bag
This completely, ridiculously dreamy clutch was a little Christmas present from Radley - I know, talk about Brand Goals - and I have to say, I'm not sure I have ever loved a clutch bag so much. The beautiful Golden square clutch comes in the same colours as my Portman flapover bag - yep, you know the one that I was so obsessed with I did a post and video on - but this time, with the addition of the most gorgeous gold monogram of my initials which is just such a special touch and definitely makes it one of my most prized possessions in my wardrobe!

Now for the really special part. I am the biggest bargain babe. I absolutely love Primark, I delight in finding high street dupes of more expensive products. But sometimes, just sometimes, I stumble across a higher end item that my £1.50 Primark dupes just really cannot compare to. These Tom Ford Linda Sunglasses are quite honestly my absolute pride and joys. Not only are they beautifully well made, such a gorgeous shape that manages to tow the line of modern but classic perfectly, but it's the delicate details that really make them special. In particular, the stunning gold details on the arms of the glasses which really add that chic, luxe feel. I'm yet to find an outfit that these don't go so well with. Plus, they're pretty much large enough to cover the majority of my face which means they're amazing for no makeup days #ShrekUnderneathTheWarPaint.
Sunglass hut #celebratewithshades
On the subject of Sunglass hut, I was extremely lucky enough to be invited to pick out a gorgeous pair of sunglasses not only for myself but as a gift for someone else in my life as part of their #CelebrateWithShades campaign. I went for my other half/felt that after he spent 2 whole days sorting out the export of my NYC video which made me want to throw myself off of a bridge he definitely deserved something special. I won't say what they are in the extremely extremely unlikely scenario that he actually reads my blog but all I can say, is that these are a Christmas present for him as well as myself. Well, what's yours in mine and all that...

So that brings me to the end of this "Hey guys, my outfit's boring but my accessories are on point, on fleek babe'in" post. I really hope you love them as much as I do. I'd also love to know what your favourite accessories are at the moment because it's Christmas and if there's any time that I can justify going crazy on myself, it's not ;)

As always, thanks so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post.

xx

Post in collaboration with Sunglass hut but all thoughts, photographs and love of sunglasses that make me feel sassy, my own.
