A lot of bloggers refer to themselves as Grandma's, or their Grandma-like evenings... followed a little while later with incredible going "out out" outfits and hungover "need bacon" kinda tweets the following day. But you see, I really, really am a massive granny - whilst every blogger and their dogs are rebranding, The Granny Next Door would work, right? - I haven't been out to a club in nearly 2 years, I only drink socially and I absolutely delight in Friday night's in with a hot chocolate, Harry Potter marathon and a Lush bath. That, my cool blogger friends that now think I'm the world's biggest loser/granny in existence, that is my idea of a perfect night.
So when I was invited along to the Lush Christmas/Winter 2015 launch and was told we'd be shown around each station of the ridiculously huge Oxford Circus store - think Hogwarts for bath products - and then gifted a product from each section... I knew this was going to be a pretty bloody great day.
When we were then given the option to chose from the "Under the mistletoe" or "Winter wonderland" box to take away with us, the inner pamper loving granny was doing all kinds of cartwheels inside whilst mentally noting that Friday nights for the next year were officially sorted ;)
There are a hell of a lot of products here but I really wanted to mention as many as possible so let's get cracking...
Five Gold Rings - A beautiful bubble bar product with a stunning, but subtle, vanilla, moringa oil and Tonka absolut scent... crumbled into the bath this gives lots of bubbles and a pretty, shimmer yellow/gold toned bath.
Sparkly Pumpkin - OK, I have a love hate relationship with this one because whilst it smells - and looks - absolutely incredible, this is the messiest thing in existence. You have to be so careful because the gold glitters gets absolutely everywhere (half of it currently resides on my 7D camera, shhh, don't tell fiance). But mess aside, the juniperberry oil, lime oil and grapefruit - all the oils - really does make for a subtle but uplifting scent that makes for a great alternative for those that aren't keen on the sickly sweet scents (comforter I'm looking at you...)
Luxury Lush pud - One of my all time favourite bath bombs, the Luxury lush pud really is pretty special. The bomb, which fizzes so well, creates a gorgeous mix of colours and smells absolutely stunning. With Lavender, tonka absolute, Ylang ylang and Benzoin resinoid... it's such a luxurious, almost spa like scent and one that I would highly recommend.
Also, let's all appreciate the big fancy words that make me sound a little bit clever ;)

Sex bomb - Absolutely
awful name, absolutely beautiful product. For me, this bomb is definitely one of the most visually pleasing of the lot. The gorgeous rose detail and pastel pink and lilac colours makes this one of the more feminine bombs that really leaves your bath one big, pink, girly explosion. With Jasmin absolut, Ylang ylang and Clary sage oil, it's a stunning floral scent that really does feel so luxurious and girly.
Pink Flamingo - Possibly the most Instagrammable of the lot, Pink Flamingo is definitely a stand out bubble bar. With Cocoa butter, Ylang ylang and rosewood oil, what I love about this is that it leaves your skin feeling really nourished... as well as filling your bath with gorgeous pink bubbles. It's quite a fruity and sweet scent but again, not overpoweringly so. It
is more expensive than the other bars but as a treat/gift for someone, this is perfect.
Candy Mountain - Another one that I think the bloggers/Instagram crazies of the world - I am totally one of those Instagram crazies FYI - will appreciate. Candy Mountain is a stunning shimmery pink and white cone shaped, swirly bubble bar (can we take a moment for those outrageously poor descriptive skills please?) that smells divine. This might actually be one my favourite scents of the bunch; a Vanilla based bar that gives off so much scent and really adds that bit of luxury. Despite the pink tones it actually doesn't add much colour to your bath at all but it really does smell stunning and lasts forever too.
The Comforter Bubble bar and Shower gel - I thought I would combine both of these beauties because my love of Lush has meant this is turning into one
hell of a long post. The bubble bar - which is the original Comforter product - is gorgeous. It is
very sickly sweet so if it's a more subtle scent that you're after then this isn't for you, but it is one of their best sellers so definitely give it a smell anyway. A sweet, fruity, almost fruit pastilles/parma violet-esque smell, it bubbles beautifully leaving you with a highly scented and luxurious bath.
The shower gel, I have to say, is another favourite of mine and it
might have something to do with the fact that it just
looks so pretty #SorryNotSorry. A gorgeous shimmery bright pink with the standard Comforter scent... I am all about that
base Comforter scent!
Snow fairy Shower gel - Another pretty sweet scent, Snow fairy is actually a candy floss scented shower gel (I know, can we just take a moment to appreciate this?). Sharing the same beautiful fuchsia colour as The Comforter, this actually has the addition of stunning lilac flecks which I love.

Rose jam shower gel and Ro's Argan body conditioner - I wanted to save these until last because they are my ultimate favourites but as I have the patience of a toddler... get ready for a fan girl rave now. (Don't say I didn't warn you). Even if you don't like rose scented products much, please go and smell this because it is absolutely divine! A mixture of Rose oil, Argan oil, Goji Berry and Vanilla makes this one of my all time favourite scented things ever. The shower gel lathers so well and leaves the gorgeous scent on your skin for hours after, it's basically the most luxurious shower gel you will ever buy (bold claim Elle, bold claim).
Ro's Argan body conditioner - Now this little beauty is really, really special. The same scent as Rose jam - you know, the one that I just totally fan girled over - this body conditioner is just so gorgeously hydrating, whilst also absorbing well and not feeling too sticky. It completely nourishes your skin, banishing any dry patches and keeping everything in tip top condition. This has become an absolute essential for me and I'll definitely be repurchasing soon.
Santa's Belly - I haven't actually used this one yet so I can't report much on how well it works, but it smells absolutely incredible. With star anise, bergamot, apple juice and red wine (you can also get a non-alcoholic version), it's so warming and fruity and just perfect for Christmas.
Santa's Lip scrub - As with all of the lip scrubs, this one smells (and tastes) so delicious. Coconut, lime, dates and cherry makes up this stunning heart shaped lip scrub. It leaves your lips feeling so soft and exfoliated whilst also nourishing them with the gorgoes oils it contains. It is however, so ridiculously messy that you definitely need to be careful where/when you use it. Ain't nobody got time for that red hearts and sugar all over your white bed sheets...
Pop in the bath (...
maybe) - Now, I think this is the Pop in the bath bubble bar but made into a more christmassy style, but I won't bore you to death with details with this one because I actually reviewed it in my latest video -
linked here - so be sure to go and check that out/watch me look like a massive tit as I drop it into the bath and wait for it to fizz, with no avail... [monkey covering eyes emoji here].
Tender is the night - This is a massage bar (ooh err!) and it is seriously, seriously luxurious. You basically just rub it all over your skin and massage it in. The formula is incredibly moisturising, leaving your skin feeling silky soft and smooth and the scent... oh god the scent... is so beautiful. A mixture of Vanilla, shea butter, Ylang ylang and Murumuru butter (nope, never heard of it either) makes this one of the most luxurious products of the whole bunch.
Fun - Finishing off the blog with some Fun (because let's face it, I've probably bored you all to death by this point). The fun bar is actually a really unique, versatile product as not only can it be used as a bubbly bar, soap, solid shampoo or even just for fun (like play doh for adults, score!) Add into the mix that it's Vanilla scented - one of my faves - and it's safe to say, I had far too much using this.
So that brings me to the end of this absolutely mammoth post. I did try to feature most of the products but there were a few - ones that I either wasn't too fussed about or had raved about previously - that I decided to leave out for the sake of your sanity ;)
If there were any that you'd like to know more about, of course just drop me a comment and I can include them next time.
I would love to know what your favourite product from Lush is? Are there any that I haven't mentioned that I really need to try? I would love to hear your thoughts!
As always, thanks so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post!
xx
