Can we firstly take a moment to appreciate how hilarious/straight to the point that title is? Can we also take a moment to appreciate the fact that I may have picked this dress out purely based on the fact that it makes me feel a little bit like the lady in red emoji [insert lady in red emoji here for good measure].
But jokes aside - although let's be serious, I'm 100% not joking... - red is not a colour that features heavily in my wardrobe. Burgundy? Yes. Maroon? So much of it. But pillar-box red? This is a rarity, and one that won't be for much longer because I have fallen hook, line and sinker for this Closet London beauty and have spent far longer than I care to admit trawling ASOS/Missguided/Boohoo/[insert your own choice of online shopping website here] looking for more bright red pieces to add to my boring monochrome wardrobe!
Apart from the stunning, vibrant red colour, the other thing that I adore about this dress is the cut. I am all about the bell sleeves - I mean, you know this by now right? - and the skater style dress as I find it more flattering for my shape, so this dress has quickly become my new go-to for when I want to feel sassy as f**k really good in myself.
Said bell/flared sleeves....
... and skater hem that I am totally obsessed with.
And that completes the look. In case you couldn't tell from my mild fan girl, I really do love this dress. But what I love most is that it finally pushed me out of my comfort zone, and d'you know what? I actually really enjoyed it. Whilst I won't be popping to Tesco for my grocery's in bright, pillar box red on a daily basis, I am definitely thinking of ways that I can work it subtly into my wardrobe.
And that's a start, right?
As always, thanks so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post!
