AUTUMN MUST HAVES WITH FAT FACE - PART 1

I love fashion. I really do. If I were to be a total cliche - that would be happy to punch themselves in the face - I would say that I had a passion for fashion. (BRB, just vomming into my "can't take the cringe-worthiness" bucket). But one thing that I'm not so keen on is worrying about the ever changing trends. I am a basics girl at heart and definitely rely on key pieces to take me throughout the seasons.

As a busy blogger too, my job can take me all over - I will be in Edinburgh, New York, London and potentially Paris all in one month alone - so my must have items need to just work no matter where I am and what situation I'm in... which is why I am so over the moon (like, Tom Cruise jumping all over Oprah's couch kinda' over the moon) to bring you my Top 10 Must have items for Autumn in collaboration with Fat Face.

Now, because we all know I like a good chat, I've decided to split this over two features. So the first, which you're reading right now, will feature 5 key pieces showcased in the city. The second, coming on Wednesday so keep your eyes peeled, will feature the remaining 5 but in the countryside, showing you just how versatile and wearable the pieces are.

The Lunch Date Look
- The oiled tote bag -
Everyone needs a great, classic, reliable handbag - I mean, where else are you going to store 15 nearly identical shades of lipstick for everyday life? - and what is more luxurious than a stunning tan, oiled leather one? (Nothing I tell you, nothing...) Not only does it look completely fabulous - it has a very Mulberry Alexa vibe to me - not only is it made of beautiful material, not only is it lined with the prettiest floral pattern... but it's such an incredible size fitting everything you need, without looking too bulky. I love that the oiled material gives it a shinier, more polished finished too meaning that this works so well in the city as well as the country.
- The Waterfall Cardigan -
Light but cosy, comfy but chic, the waterfall cardigan is one of my absolute favourite must haves for this Autumn. I absolutely adore the more delicate cut and the thinner texture meaning that it's perfect for layering but also doesn't add any extra bulk (because we don't exactly need any help in that department come Hot chocolate/Mince Pie season). This light grey beauty from Fat Face is just so versatile and I will definitely be going back for the Navy and khaki shade.
- The Tea Dress -
Next up, we have the Camille tea dress, and what I absolutely adore about this dress is that it is definitely a little more conservative in print and length, but there's something about the v-neck that just makes me feel so feminine (and dare I say... sexy?). The material is of a stunning quality, surprisingly thick and toasty... and I love the floral print making it the perfect tea dress for a lunch date, girly day out or afternoon tea. Basically, any occasion...

The gorgeous material means that it's so, so comfortable, so whether you wear it as I've worn it here - sans tights as for once it was actually sunny (which is awful for photography #BloggerProblems) - or paired with tights and flats/boots and a nice chunky jumper or cardigan, it just works.
- The Chelsea Boots -
I've done a bad thing here guys, a bad, bad thing. I've teased you with photo's of the most perfect chelsea boots only to say that their full feature doesn't come until Wednesday's post - all the more reason to check back of course ;) - but one thing I can tell you is that if you don't have a pair of chelsea boots in your wardrobe... you're seriously missing out.

The Dinner and Drinks look
- The "Does it all" shirt -
The does it all shirt. If anyone knows me/sees me quite often, you'll know that I live in shirts. Generally, plain white, oversized (that means Dan's old shirts that are too big but create the best oversized shape) shirts are my port of call in "I have no idea what to wear and need to be out of the door in 5 seconds" situations, however my love affair with the printed, does it all, works in any situation kinda' shirt has definitely pipped it to the post recently. This Fat Face triangle geo shirt has been a saviour on so many occasions be it, a meeting, a nice dinner out or even drinks, so it had to feature in today's post.

I have always been the biggest Navy fan girl supporter as it's just so effortless and chic and not as boring harsh as black, and combined with the gorgeous triangle/geo print, it becomes the perfect mixture of smart and casual. As with every Fat Face piece I own, the material is of such a high quality and feels so luxurious and comfortable to wear. It also looks fab underneath a nice thick jumper for when you need to layer up. The does it all shirt really does do it all. #TongueTwisterOfTheYear!
- The Perfect Jegging -
Whenever asked what my fashion or wardrobe essential is, Jeans/Jeggings are the one thing that I always neglect, and then always kick myself for forgetting afterwards. Don't get me wrong; I love a dress/skirt/shorts/[insert your own choice of any clothing item that isn't jeans here]. But nothing beats pulling on the perfect, flattering pair of jeggings that feel like pyjamas but look incredible.

These Fat face jeggings are genuinely the most comfortable I own. Their so stretchy which means that they fit perfectly; nice and tight - but not to the point of cutting off your circulation (been there, done that...) - but with enough stretch to be able to move around completely comfortably. I definitely need this jegging style in all the colours but I do have to say that I love the colour of this denim vintage option. The perfect everyday colour but paired with a pair of bright heels - and the does it all shirt, see what I did there, see what I did there... - they also work perfectly for a dressier look.
So that brings my first Autumn must haves post with Fat Face to an end. I have to say, I absolutely loved putting this piece together and I think it's because it really made me appreciate what pieces I rely on in my wardrobe, what pieces I come back to no matter what, and actually, because they're are so versatile... what items will see me through not only the cooler months but all year round.

As always, thanks so much for reading. I really hope you enjoyed this post and don't forget to stay tuned for part 2 :)

xx
