Biscuits. They are one of the many things that I've missed so much since being diagnosed with coeliac disease. The incredible crunchy texture, the variety of flavours... OK, OK you get the gist....
So I've missed biscuits a lot and truly find it impossibly hard to sit by and watch people digging into the tin whilst I have to politely decline. So when I was invited to the Biscuiteers Fashion week event, everything would be pointing towards the fact that it would be hell for me right?
Wrong. Well, kinda.
You see, lucky for me, the event wasn't just about sitting around and demolishing biscuits - although I would've been totally OK with that if it was - we were also treated to a chat about all things fashion week from the lovely Liv, Kristabel and Lucy, as well as being challenged to ice some biscuits from the amazing Fashionista biscuit tin. Plus, manicures from Benefit.
Now that's my kind of event.
Enough of the waffling that I'm sure you don't even care about I wanted to first show you what I wore because it includes a little number from Boohoo which I am obsessed with at the moment. Hope you love it too...
Once I stopped prancing around singing "let's twist again" - because I am that cool! - it was time to talk all things biscuits...
After nosing around the most Instagrammable venue in existence, myself, Becca and Josie settled down to start icing away...
Despite not being able to eat the macarons - which were technically gluten free however had been processed in a factory containing gluten (yep, real coeliacs really do have to be as diligent as possible) - I couldn't help but go photo crazy because I'm a blogger cliche because how god damn pretty are they?
We were also treated to some wonderful refreshments courtesy of Sipsmith which were so tasty (and totally didn't make me tipsy after just one sip [insert guilty/"yes, I'm a lightweight, don't judge" emoji here].
After a very long day - I'd also been to 3 other events that day including an incredible Dorothy Perkins #lovedbyDP event, coming soon - I was so happy to get home, put my feet up and discover the loveliest goodie bag including a beautiful recipe book (gluten free recipes included) and the most stunning tea cup and saucer which most definitely will be popping up on this blog soon!
I'd love to know if you've been to Biscuiteers before? Also, what are your thoughts on my new Boohoo pride and joy? I'd love to hear your thoughts :)
xx
