PASTELS, PUGS AND GLUTEN FREE AT GIRAFFE

Chloe drew dupe pastel outfit
Today's post is a bit of a bumper post for you today - the diplomatic way of saying, prepare to be bored to tears it's a rambley one - because I have a pastel coloured outfit for you (nope, someone didn't hold me hostage and force me to wear an outfit that wasn't all black ehhrthing) photographed by my girl, Becca Rose. I have an ode to a little pug - also courtesy of Becca - that was proof to me that love at first sight actually exists. And then finally, I have something for you foodies/coeliacs/gluten free friends as I went to the wonderful Giraffe on the Southbank, ate the most delicious food... and of course, photographed it like there was no tomorrow.

Starting with the bon bon/sherbet/pastel explosion outfit first which jokes aside, is potentially my favourite summery outfit right now.

The bag featured in today's post is pretty much the new love of my life - soz, fiance - Not only is it a pretty great dupe of the Chloe Drew bag, not only is it a gorgeous shade of pink and coral, not only does it come in multiple shades - which I definitely didn't buy multiple of *spolier: I did*... it's also £7. What an absolute bargain. [insert hand clapping emoji here] You can shop the whole look below, you lucky little things you...

Next up on my "love these BAE's shoes so much" list are these Linzi Ronny lace up flats. Now, I know that lace up flats are nothing new - slight exaggeration, they almost rival the chloe drew in terms of Blogger bandwagons - but these are without a doubt my favourite of the bunch. I adore the side details of these pumps, they actually make what is quite a "fussy" shoe look really delicate and simple. I love that these have the ability to dress up and outfit - perfect for pussy's wimps like me that don't always want to to wear heels but what I love most, they are genuinely the most comfortable pair of flats I own. The photo's from today's post documents the first time I ever wore them, the day included a lot of pounding the streets and I didn't get a single blister or sore patch (which I usually do without fail when wearing new shoes for the first time). I wore them the next time I went out with Becca - a few days later because blogger days out are the best! - so they will popping up again on this blog shortly. And time and time after that I'm sure...

If recycling outfits is good enough for Kate Middleton...

Next up on my "need to tell my readers - i.e my Mum - this useless piece of information" list, is my unrequited love for this little bundle cuteness, Rupert. Rupert belongs to the lovely Becca and I have absolutely loved spending time with them over the past couple of weeks. Of course, Rupert is the cutest thing in existence, but Becca is also such a babe that just makes me howl with laughter.

Crazy Pug lady vibes over, we headed off to the Southbank to meet the gorgeous Josie for some food.

Now, what I immediately loved about Giraffe was that their allergy information is listed on the menu [insert hallelujah/prayer emoji here] - an absolute dream for us coeliac's that find it quite embarrassing/awkward to ask waiters about it in front of other people - so I could have a good browse before just quickly double checking the gluten free guidelines when ordering.

I was an extremely happy girl when I found out that the Nacho's Nirvana - tortilla chips topped with veggie chilli, melting cheese, jalapeños, fiery chipotle salsa, guacamole and sour cream (jesus, go hard or go harm Giraffe!) were gluten free. And because all of that wasn't enough, we topped it with crispy chorizo and you know what? It was f**king, frickin' incredible. This was genuinely one of the tastiest starters/sharing plates I've had in a long time. #GiveMeAllTheCheeseAndChorizo

Nacho's demolished - no really, they didn't stand a chance - we moved on to mains where I opted for the Herby chicken breast "no bun" burger. Now, fellow coeliacs of the world will not be a stranger to the no bun burger, in fact it's quite often one of the solitary options on a coeliac unfriendly menu (i.e only 1 or 2 options where items can be made gluten free and the waiter makes you know that you're a bloody pain in the arse for asking to do so). However, this was a no bun option with a difference... they'd swapped the fries (which were full of gluten anyway so they could happily do one!) with the tastiest salad, edamame, quinoa, avocado and a herb and elderflower dressing, and I never thought I'd say it, but I didn't miss the chips one bit. The whole dish was so tasty, lovely soft chicken - LOL, here I go again thinking I'm the next John Torode/[insert your own choice of food critic here] - seasoned perfectly... oh, and did I mention that Josie and I also ordered Halloumi skewers? Yep, we went there, and they were just as amazing as halloumi is in general.

Which is a lot. All the amazingness. All.

We actually left dessert as the Southbank had the jazziest Snog frozen yogurt van parking it's butt right in front of us so of course, a coconut froyo with all the toppings happened. Of course it did... #FatBloggerSays

And that concludes my day out with the girls/"Omg look at Rupert I need him in my life please and thank you"/"Yo, coeliacs, look what I've got here for you" post. I really hope you enjoyed the post as much as I did writing/living it.

If you have any amazing Gluten free finds, please do let me know as I will of course go and check it out because I am a greedy bitch.

As always, thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post!

xx
