Today's post is another blog event post, however, I promise this one is a post with a difference. (I mean, don't get too excited about that, it's still me waffling on about a fab brand and the lovely locations and dreamy food #ClicheElle, but this post also includes a little ode to my blogger friends, and not just my blogger friends, but the importance of having them in general and what my blogger friends mean to me. (Feel free to skip past my waffling to get to said ode at the bottom).
FYI, I am not being sponsored to overuse the phrase "blogger friends" as much as humanly possible.
The event I'm rambling/waffling/boring you all to death about today was one that the camera/techy geek in me was really excited about. It was put on by Manfrotto, which in case you haven't heard of them before - I actually hadn't prior to this invite - they are a company that stock camera, lighting, lenses, tripod, equipment etc. (I've probably got some of that info wrong so feel free to check out the website) It was at the Sanderson Hotel, it contained an Instabooth - #BloggerParadise - and had the most amazing food displays.
Let's just dive in shall we?
Amongst the most dreamy food displays - which I'm pretty sure received more attention than the equipment, because, blogger life... - we were also shown some incredible Manfrotto tripods, lenses and lights etc.
From tripods that allowed the camera to lie directly over the shot - think of the flat lays, think of the flat lays - to mini tripods perfect for vlog camera's and lights, to filtered lenses for your iPhone and not forgetting the most incredible adapter allowing your iPad to act as a monitor/remote control to your camera, Manfotto really does have all technical bases covered.
After taking an unhealthy amount of photo's of the Afternoon tea display, walking around the gorgeous Sanderson suite where each room contained a different set up and assortment of equipment, we of course then used the pretty nifty Instabooth which basically printed out any Instagram photo containing the hashtag "#blogmanfrotto" *Cue group photo* (which took way more planning/thought that I'm actually OK to admit) [insert guilty face emoji here].
Gorgeous ladies all tagged on
Instagram, go and check them out.
Group photo's done - #SquadGoals - time to refuel on the "pinterest-worthy" food (let's just take a moment to gag over how horrendous - but necessary - that phrase is, shall we?). With a full stomach and the loveliest goodie bag in toe - think mini tripods, sweets, the lot... - we all headed off our separate ways. So I guess that means it's time for my soppy little piece about blogging buddies now...

I've always had a very fond place in my heart for my blogger friends, however this event kinda' sparked those warm, fuzzy feels even further because not only did I meet up with the gorgeous Lauren, Saida and Charlotte again (as well as meeting Jordan for the first time too who is such a babe) but I also randomly bumped into 4 separate bloggers that I already knew from previous events/blogger get togethers (Sam, Kara, Luce, Becky... I'm looking at you). And I absolutely love that. I love that I'm fortunate enough to be able to attend pretty much any event and always end up seeing someone I know that I can have a good catch up with and avoid being the awkward turtle on their own. I'm hugely digressing here so here's why blogger friends are amazing and why all bloggers need to have some ;)
- They just get you. They understand that you need to linger on the street to catch a few stock photo's of pretty London buildings, you know, for those times when you're in your PJ's spooning peanut butter, having the least glamorous day with absolutely nothing Instagram worthy to post. Obviously...
- They understand that you're failing in life if you haven't rearranged your meal, the table cloth, drinks, basically the entire restaurant table to create the perfect Instagram photo.
- On that note, your camera always needs to be on square mode, obvs...
- One of the things that I love and appreciate so much, is that when I'm having my weekly "I hate my blog, the layout's boring, my content's
shit rubbish, everything sucks" moment, they totally get it. Because they've been there, felt that, and got the reassuring twitter messages to prove it.
- When a friend/relative/someone you know says they're stressed out because they've actually been to work all day and you've just been blogging all day, they are right there with you giving all the side eye/"you need to get out of my face right now" glares with you. (This especially applies to full time bloggers who will no doubt receive this pretty regularly).
I really could go on forever with this so in short, to all my blogger friends that just get me... you go Glen Coco! And I love ya... [insert love heart emoji here, and then the crying with laughter emoji because we all know bloggers love that ;)]
So that brings me to the end of my Manfrotto even write up/ode to the blogging ladies that rock. I had such a lovely day which actually ended in me going to the Park Lane hotel for dinner with the other half... expect many drool-inducing pictures popping up on this blog soon ;)
As always, thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post!
xx
