One question that I ask myself regularly is, when will I feel like an adult? I mean, I pay my bills, I work for myself, I provide for myself, I'm engaged, half of my friends are married or have babies - slight exaggeration, but a fair few do - and yet I still feel ever so slightly like a teenager with no responsibility. One recent "happening" that has pushed me into the realms of "Oh f*ck lord, I think I might be an actual adult now" is buying a house.
So my other half and I have this house. We are still living in my family home until it's totally ready - said other half thought it'd be a good idea to turn a very old fashioned (but livable) house into a complete building site - and probably will be for some time, but I'm excited for our next venture. But you know what I'm really excited for? Decorating this building site that looks like a bomb's hit it blank canvas into my home.
I thought that nothing could compare to Pinterest when it comes to Home interior inspiration, however after discovering Homify, an incredible website full of home inspiration, articles and amazingly shot photographs, I think Pinterest could easily be given a run for it's money. There is such a wide variety of home inspiration but a couple of areas I am particularly interested in are Bedroom, kitchen and living room inspiration.
Here are some of my favourite choices. A word of warning, prepare to drool/want to redecorate your entire home.

As you can see, I am a huge fan of minimal interiors. White, white and more white - do I need to say white one more time? White ;) - with some copper, green, marble and geometric accents are my idea of perfection, and these photo's were just a small selection from Homify's website so as you can imagine, I was in my element browsing their website. Our house has a lot of exposed brick - which I am beyond obsessed with - so this modern style of interior works really well as a contrast to the cosy brick.
Moving home is a very big deal - i.e I am slightly
shitting a brick terrified - for me as not only will I be leaving my family home (which I've lived in my entire life, I was actually
born in that house) and my family - I can't go into this further as I will burst into tears - but I'll also be leaving London. I'll be living just on the outskirts - when we finally move in in 20 years time ;) - and I will be so ridiculously sad not to be in the heart of such an incredible city. So making my new house a
home is not only important, but essential. With the help of Homify,
Pinterest and let's be real,
Kate from Gh0st Parties... I'm pretty sure I can make that happen :)
Where are your favourite places to go for home interiors inspiration? Have you checked out Homify before? I'd love to hear your thoughts :)
As always, thanks so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post!
