SUMMER STYLE WITH BARBOUR

I have a question for you. Nope, this time it's not "what's the best hair tong for Khloe Kardashian curls?", or "Does anyone know of any gluten free doughnuts in London?" Today I am transferring my own curiosity onto to you. I want to know the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the brand, Barbour?

Now, I'm not a betting woman - which is a bloody good thing as my addiction to shopping and eating is proof  that I have an addictive personality! - but if I was, I'd put my house on the fact that quilted jackets, wax jackets, wellies or generally just the farmer/countryside vibe comes to mind? Yes, I'm right you say, oh brilliant... ;) I get that, I totally get that because that's exactly what comes to mind when I think of Barbour myself, which is why I was extremely excited - I may have done a Tom Cruise on Oprah's couch kinda motion, because I'm cool - when Barbour contacted me and asked me to collaborate with them to showcase some of their summer range.

Barbour is a brand that I have always loved so the answer to that question was always going to be a yes, and then I saw their summer range and totally lost my shit and yes, I had a lot of fun choosing my pieces to style so I really hope you enjoy the post.

And if you don't, maybe just totally humour me and pretend you did anyway? Please and thank you!!

I am absolutely in love with this gorgeous dress from Barbour, it is made from the most stunning lightweight linen and has quickly become one of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe. I've gone for a more casual look here paired with sliders/sandals but it looks equally lovely dressed up with a pair of heels and a clutch bag. There is no doubt that I'll be wearing this all summer long, and then obviously tweeting/instagramming it like a crazy lady because #BloggerProblems ;)

Sandals which I am beyond obsessed with and will be doing a whole post on soon: Jones Bootmakers*

This T-shirt was an unusual pick for me and is definitely unique to my wardrobe - which I can't say for a lot of items because I am a total boring bitch creature of habit - but I really, really like it. I love that it gives a little twist to this casual look and just makes it more interesting, rather than the standard plain casual tee and jeans combo. The material, like every item from Barbour that I own - is so soft and well made and is just a joy to wear. I paired it with my well loved - but ridiculously unflattering - white ASOS jeans and an old school 90's jean jacket (which is literally retro as I've had to since I was around 10) and I was really chuffed with the outcome.

Jeans: Asos
Wedge peep-toes: River Island
Ridiclously old Jean Jacket that I've had at least 12 years: Topshop

So that brings me to the end of this post. Not only was I chuffed with my pieces - thank you so much Barbour - and the overall looks in general, but I'm so excited to have discovered a new store for amazing but classic Summer buys. I am so impressed with their collection and highly recommend to anyone in need of some classically British summer pieces.

Also, just a quick - but stupidly exciting - note to say that if you head on over to Barbour's Facebook page, there is currently a competition running where you can win a classically British break away. How amazing is that? It does end in a matter of days though so head over asap! *Drops everything and enters competition with every finger crossed* ;)

As always, thank you so much for reading. I really hope you enjoyed this post!

xx
