It's been a little while now since I've done a "Hey, I'm The Body Shop's biggest fangirl, now watch me rave about them for the next 2hours" type post so of course, when I received what was possibly the loveliest surprise package through the post - which you can actually see video evidence of here (Yep, you read that right, I now have a YouTube channel. Eek! - I took this as the perfect opportunity to unleash my inner "Oh bore off, you Body Shop stalker" feels and produce a good rave/review of some products from their new lines.
There's quite a few to get through - because Body Shop are bae's* and love to spoil me - so we'll just get cracking shall we? Great, let's do it...
*P.S Please feel free to punch or shoot me in the face for using the term "bae" in a post!
Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer - This product was probably my most anticipated out of the lot because I'd seen
so many blogger/vloggers talk about it. It's quite an unusual product/concept in the sense that it's a orange toned, gel-like texture that to me, feels just like a primer (
that's because it probably is you knob...) At first, I really couldn't imagine how this would
work without turning my face bright orange, but actually, for me... It really
does work. When you massage it into the skin the orange gel melts into the skin leaving a really
natural glow. It makes the perfect base for applying makeup but works equally well by itself. Surprisingly, it isn't orange at all either and just leaves your skin looking fresh and radiant...
... and not as though you've had barely any sleep, have lived off of coffee for weeks and frequented the Indian takeaway more times than Katie Price has been married...
[insert guilty face here]
Vitamin C Glow boosting moisturiser - Another product that I was
really excited to try. This is essentially a moisturiser that's meant to give your skin a good, healthy looking glow. First things thing, it's extremely light - I think this could be a summer time HG - and has an extremely strange consistency. As you can see from the above picture, it's not runny, it's not liquidy, it's almost like a whipped gel (2 and a half years into blogging and I still have the adjective skills of a 4 year old). In short, it's a really lovely moisturiser that I think would work best for normal skin types as it's not
hugely hydrating but equally won't leave your skin feeling tight or dry. The only thing I'm not so much of a fan of is the scent. For me, it's quite a medicinal, overpowering smell so if you're really sensitive to that... maybe give it a little whiff before purchasing.

Honey Bronze Highlighting dome - So, this "highlighting dome" is probably my
favourite product of the lot, however, one thing to mention is that for me it is definitely
not a highlighter and much more of blush. This is a gorgeous peachy pink cream blush with a stunning golden shimmer running through it. It's pigmented but buildable, lifting but natural. I honestly can't recommend this product - and shade - enough. Such a gorgeous product that has now become one of my summer/"I look like a pile of crap and need to look like I'm
actually alive" essentials!
Honey Bronze face gel - This product is a bit of a marmite product for me. I'm not a fan of it on the skin alone as I do feel that it pulls slightly orange rather than just bronzed, however used as a base coat underneath a light foundation/bb cream... it is stunning. I'll definitely be using this throughout our non-existent summer when I want to amp things up a bit and go for a more bronzey, glowey base makeup.
Honey Bronze Tinted leg mist - A tinted leg mist that bronzes the legs evenly and naturally, doesn't transfer, isn't oily... oh, and doesn't leave you a shimmery mess? Yeah... I can get on board with that, and I
have got on board with it actually because I've been using this every time the sun has graced us with it's presence and every time my
casper the ghost pins are on display in blog photo's. It really does do everything it claims to,
plus the smell is completely non-offensive too.
Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet - I'm a big fan of The Body Shop's body sorbets and have raved about their
green tea version before and the Virgin Mojito offering bears no differently for me. The smell is a lot fresher, a lot more citrusy which I personally love and think works amazingly in the summer months. It's hydrating, it's nourishing but most importantly, it's
light.
Ain't nobody got time for sticky limbs in the morning...

Virgin Mojito Body splash - I was really surprised and intrigued to see this body splash in my little bundle of goodies as I'd never even heard of it before (...and trust me, I stalk that homepage like no other). It is essentially like a perfume/scented water that you splash over your body after a bath/shower. It's really nice actually, the scent is the standard Virgin Mojito scent which I love anyway... my only gripes are that the dispenser is just a small hole which means it can spurt everywhere unless you're extremely careful, and the scent doesn't linger for the longest time. Ultimately it's a really nice product, perfect for the summer, but not necessarily worth £16 in my opinion.
So that brings me to the end of my pretty huge Body shop review. If I were going to act as a - completely shoddy - personal shopper, I'd say definitely go for the Instant glow enhancer, the domed highlighter and the leg mist because those beauties are total winners and I know I'll be using them non stop in the warmer months (that means for about 3 days in July sometime[insert huge cry face here]). I would love to know if you've tried any of these products and what you made of them? Any other products from The body shop that you recommend?
Also, while I'm here - and by some miracle you're still awake and not
totally bored to death - I'd just like to say a
huge thank you for the ridiculously lovely comments and support of not only
my last post, but the starting of
my YouTube channel. I am in utter shock that so many of you watched the video and wrote to me saying you really enjoyed it... it has completely made my week and I am so grateful for everybody who subscribed and will be continuing to join me on this "journey". I really hope you enjoy what is to come :)
Soppy stuff over. As always, thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post!
