If you've seen my first ever YouTube video - if not, I'll link that here for your viewing laughter pleasure - then you would've heard me talk about my meeting with American Eagle and how I was so excited to be working with such a fab company. Basically, you'd have heard me fan girl to high heaven and totally lose my shit over how amazing their jeans are, and today, I'm pretty much going to do the same thing all over again, in written/stills form.
You lucky little things, you... ;)
I was extremely lucky to receive a pair of jeans from American Eagle only to so kindly be given another pair when I went to check out their showroom - such little charmers AE, such little charmers... - so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to show you how I'd style up both pairs of these beauties and hopefully do some justice to just how amazing they are.
I probably didn't but one can hope right? Right...
This first look features the gorgeous
American Eagle jegging in vintage teal destroyed* and I am
beyond obsessed with them. First things first, they are so ridiculously comfortable, so stretchy and soft but also thick and well made. The quality of the denim has completely blown me away (maybe that's because my mind is programmed to the polyester palace aka Primark's level of quality, but still... they're stunning) This colour, as you can see, is a beautiful lighter toned destroyed denim which looks amazing dressed up - as above, although I am by
no means saying that
I look amazing - but equally as lovely dressed down with some converse/casual flats. The perfect Spring/summer jean.
These are said jeans that I received when I went for my meeting with American Eagle/look around their showroom and aren't they gorgeous? The lovely, lovely Sophie from AE actually gave me free reign to pick whatever I wanted -
I know, brownie points for me for not walking out with one in each colour/style - and as soon as I saw these
American eagle jegging in Dark destroy* I knew they were the one. A darker, more classic/all year round jean with the same gorgeous material as the formerly mentioned pair. They just go with
everything. They're also slightly less distressed meaning a tad more conservative and appropriate all year round/for any occasion. Basically, in rotation with the the distressed denim pretties above, I have not taken these off for
weeks.
I mean, obviously I've taken them off to wash them - ain't nobody got time for Smelly Ellie - but they are easily my go-to options when I have no idea what to wear,
i.e all day ehhrday!
Before I sign off I thought I'd include a few photos of American Eagle's showroom, or what I like to call... the denim rail that Pinterest dreams are made of. Because I am a complete and utter twat!
So, that brings me to the end of today's denim diary/major American Eagle fan-girlin'. I really do feel so lucky to be working with such a fab brand and am extremely grateful for their generosity in gifting me what has easily become my holy grail pairs of jeans.
I would love to know if you have any recommendations for your favourite pair of American Eagle jeans - or just any jeans really, there's no such thing as too much denim is there? No, no there isnt... - What you thought of how I styled up these looks, and just any links to any posts on how you style different kinds of denim pieces. I am always in need of inspiration :)
