THE BEAUTY OF BLOGGING: RSPCA #patapet & M&S #SuitStyle

First of all, can we just appreciate the fact that I've managed the longest title in blogging history? Yep, I've totally outdone myself in the "You are a complete and utter twat and can you please just sort out your blogging game?" stakes there haven't I?

Yes, yes you have...

So what does all that sh*tcraputter tripe jibberish mean, then? Well, this post was basically born from the fact that last week I was very lucky to be invited to two very lovely events. Very lovely, but very different events. (FYI, I am not being sponsored to say the word "very" as much as humanly possible, I am just illiterate as of yet to discover a thesaurus) The first was an event for the RSCPA's #PatAPet campaign - actually at my local farm *cue all the childhood memories* - which was a fantastic event raising awareness for the RSPCA and what an incredible job they do of rehoming animals, and the second was an amazing styling event for Marks & Spencer with a just a select number of bloggers.

Sheep shearing, Lamb petting, food, crafts and all the mud/suspicious smells one day; Gorgeous, chic, amazingly well cut suits and prosecco the next. I wasn't joking when I said they were different was I? But this is why I wanted to include them in the same post; doesn't this show how amazing the blogging world is and what an impact us bloggers are now having amongst not only the beauty and fashion world, but across so many organisations and companies... reaching out to us because they know we can - hopefully - make a difference. I don't want to get all Girl Blogger Power on you all, I just wanted express how amazing I think it is that not only are us bloggers now being recognised by industries that once laughed us off, but the opportunities that arise because of that are pretty bloody amazing too.

Soppy/drippy/cheesy/sentimental sally moment over, on with the post...

The RSPCA's #PatAPet event came to London, and not only London, but actually to my local farm - Surrey Docks Farm fyi - so I couldn't not get involved (thanks so much the lovely team at Talented Talkers for inviting me). The farm not only has the cutest animals - no shit sherlock - but also amazing crafts and food stalls. So how about we take a little look around the farm together, check out the food, swoon over the crafts and have a typical "blogger loves tiny animal" breakdown over just how cute those little lambs are followed closely by chewing your ear off about the RSPCA's rehoming work? Sound like a plan? Brilliant, let's do it...

Crafty stuff done, time for some food. Disclaimer; if you're hungry, you might want to skip past these next pictures very quickly....

... don't say I didn't warn you. [insert all the heart eye'd emoji's here]

Next up are the animals. Now, I'm sure you all know about the RSPCA, but what you might not know is what a truly amazing job they do of rehoming animals. In 2013 alone, they re-homed over 55,000 animals giving them the second chance of finding a home, and in a lot of cases... the second chance of a good, quality life after a difficult start to begin with. Pretty incredible right? To find out more about the rehoming that takes place and show support, please head over to this page of the RSPCA's website. And of course feel free to absolutely swoon over all the cuties while you're at it :)

Now that you've all got your pet fix - not something I ever imagined writing on this blog - it's time for the more superficial sartorial things in life ;)

I was invited along to the Marks and Spencer #SuitStyle event - yep, totally lost my sh*t when I got the email too - which basically focused on their huge range of suits, in particular a grooms suit for a destination wedding.

Bearing in mind that I'm getting married next year, I really should've been good at this/even have an incline of how to style a suit right?

Wrong...

... I was truly awful, but here's three things that I discovered from the event:

1) I will definitely not be choosing my fiance's overall look
2) I am a very lucky girl for being chosen to get involved in such an amazing - and exclusive, I know, why I was chosen I have no idea - event and feel very grateful for the opportunity to work with one of my favourite stores and their lovely team.
3) and lastly, after receiving the professional photo's through it was clearly apparent that I spend 95% of my life laughing. Cry laughing, in fact. Which I guess is actually quite a nice discovery (... if it wasn't for the fact that I have the ugliest/sloth-like laugh face ever).

But first, let me take a selfie Insta Pic...
"Oh f**K my life, how the hell do you tie a tie?"
So that brings me to the end of this - ridiculously photo heavy (sorry) - post. If you made it this far, you are a better person than I am ;) I know it was quite a big post (no kidding you boring b*tch) but I really thought it was the perfect opportunity to send out a bit of love into the blogging world and just take a slightly self-indulgent moment to profess how bloody awesome we are! [insert "T-Rex/sassy hand movement" emoji here]

What has been your favourite event that you've been invited to recently? What's your thoughts on "the beauty of blogging"? I would love to hear what you think.

As always, thanks so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed/endured this post ;)

xx
