Hi everyone, (god that was an original way to start a first
blog post wasn’t it?)
Believe it or not I actually spent a ridiculous amount of
time wondering how to begin this post. I couldn’t help but to keep thinking to
myself, what do I say to people that have no idea who I am? What if nobody
cares what I have to say? So before I talk myself out of this whole thing
(believe me it took an embarrassingly long time to grow a pair of balls and
actually start this) it’s probably a good idea to tell you a little bit about
myself and why I’m starting this blog.
My name is Ellie (always a good place to start) and without
sounding like a massive cliché, I am absolutely obsessed with fashion and
beauty. I am one of those people that could – and more often than not do –
spend hours and hours scouring my favourite blogs, watching my favourite
YouTubers latest videos and mentally making a never ending wish list of all the
items that I want need in my life! And that really, when it comes down
to it, is why I thought it was about time I did my own blog. If even one person
could read something I write and find it enjoyable, interesting, useful etc. (please god let me have at least one reader,
please god let me have at least one reader!) the way I do with other people’s
blogs, then it would make this whole thing worthwhile!
When
I’m not doing those extremely important things
above, I’m actually a small part (admittedly an extremely small/probably
insignificant part, but a part nonetheless) of what goes into some of the shows
on your TV screen. I work in TV production and having just finished a stint on
BBC’s Young Apprentice and having a couple of weeks off before going back to
work on The X-Factor for the live shows, I thought this would be a good time to
take all of my favourite things in life: anything fashion/beauty related, TV production
and writing, and combine them all together. And with that I bring you “the Elle
next door” I hope if anyone does eventually see this, that you enjoy my blog.
